Renovated and Reimagined Cabin Retreat in Colorado

A DC-area couple purchased a Colorado escape, nestled on a riverside lot, to support the husband’s fly-fishing habit.

The outdated, log cabin-style home was built in the 1980s – and the existing décor heralded from that era too, with a mauve hue in abundant display. Our clients wanted to preserve and enhance its rustic charm, while instilling a more modern yet inviting aesthetic.

Keyser Interiors worked closely with the local architect and contractor on a full-gut renovation. We guided the selections process for kitchen and bath remodels, chose wall paint colors, and furnished the reimagined spaces. A rich palette of earth tones, accented with touches of bold color, complements the home’s natural setting.
